Phuoc Long Pagoda (District 9) is located between an island on the Dong Nai River, a sacred pilgrimage destination attracting many visitors.



Phuoc Long Pagoda is located on Ba Sang Islet between Dong Nai River (Long Binh Ward, District 9, Ho Chi Minh City), also known as Chau Doc Pagoda 3. It is about 25 km from the center of the city. Nguyen Xien then go about 10 minutes to go to the pagoda.



The pagoda was built in 1965, belonged to the Northern Buddhism sect. At that time, the pagoda was only the roof of the wall, the items are currently mainly built, restored in 2009 on an area of ​​1.5 hectares.



The special features of the pagoda are many colorful statues such as bowls, bodhisattvas, characters according to the beliefs of the people ...



From the entrance of the pagoda, the Buddha statue is about 10 m long.



The pagoda looks like a statue garden, stone statue in the center of the lake, surrounded by dragons.



At the center of the Phuoc Long Pagoda, the main hall is 80 m long, 25 m wide and covers an area of ​​2,000 m 2. It is designed with a total of 1,500 wood blocks in three years.



Inside the main hall there are three compartments with wooden structure. The brown mahogany of the wood, the columns rafters, the roof of gold lacquer makes the space more ancient.



Wooden architecture of pillars, trusses, doors to Buddha statues are famous artists from Hue elaborate.



In addition, most of the furniture such as tables, chairs, churches, oil lamps, temples ... in the temple are also wooden. The most well-known are the sculptured wooden tables. The temple has a large space for displaying these items.



Visitors can also admire the collection of antique cars, ceramics through the period ... as well as many valuable historical objects collected by the temple, display.



Every afternoon, visitors to the pagoda will have free vegetarian meals cooked by Buddhist followers. "I went to Phuoc Long Pagoda many times, the full moon day, holidays are the same home. The temple is located in the middle of the river so the air here is very clear. Since being rebuilt, the temple has become more majestic and beautiful, "Thoa (Bien Hoa, Dong Nai) shared.



Every day there are many Buddhists followers, visitors go to visit the pagoda. Particularly on the full moon, Tet, Buddha festival ... the pagoda is a pilgrimage point.
