Phu Van Lau - the beauty of Hue architecture


Located on the main road of Hue Citadel, in front of Ky Dai and behind Nghinh Luong Dinh, this is a unique architectural monument in the ancient capital city. Phu Van Lau is considered the symbol of Hue ancient capital.

The 27 typical French architectural works in Hue include 11 state monuments, such as Hue University, National Literature School, National High School, Hai Ba Trung High School, Hue Museum of Culture, Diem Phung Thi, Le Loi Primary School, A & B Hue College, Hue Industrial College, Festival Center, Tu Do Stadium.

The 16 monuments owned by organizations include: Hue Railway Station, Saigon Morin Hotel, Hue Festival Restaurant, La Residence Hue Hotel & Spa, Le Domaine de Cocodo Hotel, Van Nien Waterworks, Redemptorist Church Phu Cam Orthodox parish, Phu Cam Parish Church, Hue Archdiocese, Sacred Heart Monastery, Hue Major Seminary, Immaculate Conception, Hue Carmel Monastery Franciscan Church, Chapel (St. Paul's).

Hue Railway Station (photo) is located in Doi Ward, Hue City, built by the French in 1908, formerly known as the Sui Gun Station. Over 100 years, Hue station retains the original architecture.
