Daily life of local people along the Hanoi railway

Daily life of local people along the Hanoi railway

During the travel to Hanoi, Scott Pocock was fascinated by the lives of local people living along the railroad.

There are places in the world where railroad tracks are located in the middle of residential areas such as Hanoi Old Quarter, with two houses less than one meter from the road. Many visitors call this "unique place in the world" or "only in Vietnam" to describe this scene.

During his trip to Vietnam, Scott Pocock has "lost his way" to the railway line in Le Duan area, near Hanoi Railway Station. The railroad pass in front of the house here attracted him.

Many visitors said the first feeling when they looked at the Pocock photographs taken was "dangerous, unsafe".

However, dozens of years, households on both sides of the road are too accustomed to the occasional trip through the house collapsed.

And life here is still quiet like anywhere else in the crowded capital of Hanoi.

Everyone was normal and almost did not feel disturbed by the rail in front. Adults, children play around the train yard in a calm, natural way.

The trains go roaring through here twice a day, morning and afternoon. The moment the train passes without warning, and people do not panic to avoid the train. This is also what makes him interesting visitors.

The scene before and when the train arrives.
