The beach town of Binh Thuan attracts visitors because of its beautiful beaches, vast sand dunes and fresh seafood.

Located about 183 km from north east of Ho Chi Minh City, Phan Thiet city is a tourist destination of Binh Thuan province. This place is famous for the white sand stretches, the sea beach nestled under the coconut curves.

In addition to the beautiful natural scenery, this area also attracts tourists by the diverse culture of the Cham community, the Chinese, the Kinh ... Visitors can come here year round, but the best season would be summer, when the heat in the urban areas would be soothed by the sea.

1. How to go there?

From Saigon to Phan Thiet

Travelers can choose bus or train to Phan Thiet. For bus, you can book in Western area in Pham Ngu Laos street. Ticket price ranges from 150,000 VND to 200,000 VND, depart around at 2PM. The journey will take 5 - 6 hours. The bus will drop you off at your hotel in Phan Thiet or Mui Ne.

Trains depart from Saigon at 6:50 or 17:30, from Phan Thiet at 6h10 or 13h10. You can buy tickets directly at Saigon Railway Station. Ticket price is 160,000 VND or more, traveling time is about 4 hours. From Phan Thiet train station, you need take motorbike (xe om) or taxi to go to your hotel in Phan Thiet or in Mui Ne.

Transportation in Phan Thiet

In Phan Thiet, for convenient travel between attractions, you should rent motorcycles for about 10 USD per day (self-paid gasoline). For car hire, you can contact motels, hotels, resorts or some rental locations in the city center.

2. Accommodation

Accommodation services in Phan Thiet have grown rapidly in recent years. Many luxury resorts have private beaches catering to visitors, mainly in Mui Ne.

Beside the blue sea, immense sand dunes stretching like endless are no destination visitors to ignore when the opportunity to Mui Ne. It is estimated that sand has more than 18 colors that change day by day and create a mysterious nature painting. Athletes can play sandboard, skateboards or speed darts on sand dunes.

- Co Thach Stone is famous for "rock shape, color the most in Vietnam".

- Ganh Son is about 5 km from Co Thach, in Chi Cong commune, Tuy Phong district. Early morning or late afternoon is at sea, from the top, visitors can observe the whole life of the fishing village.

- Hang Pagoda was built in the first half of the nineteenth century, named Co Thach Tu. The pagoda is located in a cave on a hill over 64 m high in Binh Thanh commune, Tuy Phong district.

5. Note

- Please prepare coat, umbrella when visiting sand dunes; Briefly dressed when participating in outdoor activities; Dress appropriately if you go to religion munoments.

- If you go to islands, please take note:Cruise ships are fixed in each month so visitors should book in advance because tickets are sold very fast. You can follow the schedule of the boat at the website of the Department of Transport of Binh Thuan.

One or two departures per day, if you are late for the boat you will have to wait for the next day.

- During summer time and public holidays, Mui Ne is very crowded, you should book in advance or avoid travel in the peak seasons.
