Landscapes of Ninh Binh that featured in the Hollywood Blockbuster – Kong Island



Trang An, Tam Coc - Bich Dong and Van Long lagoon are three famous tourist destinations of Ninh Binh that will be featured in the blockbuster Kong: Skull Island will be released in 2017.


On the afternoon of February 26, the film crew Kong: Skull Island went to Ninh Binh and started two weeks of work here from February 27 to March 15. The first turning point of the delegation is Trang An scenic spot, 7 km from Ninh Binh city in the west along Trang An boulevard and 96 km south of Hanoi.



The context is chosen to include a 2 ha valley inside the Trang An scenic complex (between Tam Coc - Bich Dong and Trang An wharf area). The road to Sunny Valley (in the picture) must be traveled by boat for about 3 km. From Thach Bich wharf, in the large space of the valley, visitors will feel like being immersed in nature, enjoying a quiet and peaceful atmosphere.


Trang An landscapes complex is a general tourist destination consisting of cultural and natural heritage recognized by UNESCO as Vietnam's first mixed world heritage in 2014.

Many landscapes here are ranked by the government as a special national monument such as Trang An ecological tourist area, Tam Coc tourist area - Bich Dong, Hoa Lu ancient capital ...



Tam Coc - Bich Dong, also known by famous names such as "Ha Long Bay on land" or "Nam Thien Le Nhi Dong" is a national key tourist area in Vietnam. The whole area includes the system of limestone caves and historical relics related to Vu Lam's supply of the Tran dynasty located in Ninh Hai and Hoa Lu communes.


The limestone massifs weathered and eroded form many unique shapes, always bring a feeling of excitement for visitors. From February 27 to March 7, the Kong: Skull Island film crew will shoot at the Trang An scenic area. On March 8, continue filming in Tam Coc - Bich Dong area.



From March 9 to March 15, the film crew filmed in Van Long lagoon. This is not only a tourist area but also the largest wetland nature reserve in the Northern Delta. Dam Van Long is located in the northeast of Gia Vien district.


Van Long Dam has a charming young beauty. The surface of the lagoon is clear and clear. Along with the majestic limestone mountains, most were eroded into a virtual cave system.


During the film days of Kong: Skull Island recorded, Trang An and Van Long will arrange for tourists to visit other routes so as not to affect the recording process.
