Vietnam has a lot of ancient cities with unique and valuable architecture, especially the Thang Long Citadel - the thousand-year capital of Vietnam. Being a massive architectural work, Thang Long Citadel was built by kings in many historical periods and became the most important historical monument in the system of Vietnamese relics.

In 2010, Thang Long Citadel was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage. And also from this moment, Thang Long Citadel becam a famous attraction to visitors to Hanoi.

When visiting the central area of ​​Thang Long Citadel, Ky Dai is often the place where visitors choose to come first. The entire flagpole is about 33 meters high, including the flagpole column, which is about 41 meters. In the body of the flagpole, there is a spiral staircase leading up to the top. Leaving Doan Mon and continuing straight, go to Kinh Thien electricity area, which is considered a vital center on Long Do mountain (dragon navel), the grave of the ancient Thang Long capital city.

The Celestial Power of the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long has always been regarded as the main hall of power during the reigns of Ly, Tran and Le. By the Nguyen Dynasty, when the kings moved their capital to Hue, Kinh Thien Palace was brought to the Thien Thien Palace every time the King went to the North. Later when the French invasion gave away the supply of the Celestial Palace to act as the headquarters of France.

Located behind Kinh Thien Palace is D67 residence area. This is a small house very simple, it is the historical resistance zone in Hoang Thanh Thang Long, the revolutionary command center of the Vietnam People's Army during the war.

This D67 residence can be seen as the most modern building of the entire Hoang Thanh Thang Long ruins area and there are many quite unique and interesting rooms that tourists can visit.

Returning to the main road of the center of Thang Long Citadel, visitors continue to visit Hau Lau relic. This work has been repaired and restored quite a number of times, so it is no longer the same as the original look.

On the main axis of Hoang Thanh Thang Long area, Bac Lau is the last station visitors will go through. Bac Mon is the only port left beside the ruined gates of Hanoi during the Nguyen Dynasty. The building was built according to the arched architecture, on the gate of the temple is the temple of Nguyen Tri Phuong and Hoang Dieu, two heroes who protected Hanoi to the last breath before the invaders.
