Thien Mu is one of the most beautiful temples in Asia

Although Vietnam has many temples and pagodas, Thien Mu is the only one in the top temples in Asia voted by the famous tourist site Lonely Planet.

Asia has lots of temples, even some of them are gold. So, Europeans have given Asia the nickname 'golden eastern'. From Bali to Bangkok, from Bangkor to Amritsar, many temples are magnificent temples which were built and existed until now. In Vietnam, there are lots of temple such as other countries in Asia, but only Thien Mu Pagoda in Hue is one of the most beautiful temples in Asia.

Thien Mu Pagoda (Thua Thien Hue, Vietnam)




Built on a high hill, overlooking the romantic Perfume River. It is 4km south west of Hue city. This temple is not only a symbol of Hue but also of Vietnam. Phuoc Duyen 8-sided tower, 21m high, 7 floors was built under King Thieu Tri, 1844 is the most attractive works when coming here. In addition, the harmony between architecture and nature in the temple are also highly appreciated by visitors.

Angkor Wat (Siem Reap, Cambodia)

In 1814, it was awakened by a delegation of European scientists, sent by the Dutch. It is built of 2 million bricks, from the foot to the top of the tower. Although it is not as intact as it was at the beginning, it never surpassed expectations of any traveler who wandered far.

Jokhang Temple (Lhasa, China)





The 1300-year-old temple is the center of Tibetan religious belief. Every day, each wave of people who come here to worship worship is the most representative evidence. Dai Chieu pagoda was built by King Tung San Can Ban in the 7th century, when the dynasty flourished most. Kinkaku-ji Temple (Kyoto, Japan)




Another golden temple of Asia. Kinkaku-ji is one of the symbols of Japanese culture. It was built in 1397, as a hermitage so that General Ashikaga Yoshimitsu rested. Later, his son turned the place into a temple. Almost 500 years later, in 1950, the temple was burned down by a monk. The monk tried to commit suicide after the crime, but was prevented. The mother jumped into the river after being questioned. In 1956, the monk died in prison while serving a sentence. After the fire, the temple was restored, inlaid with two layers of gold above.

Bodhnath Tower (Bodhnath, Nepal)




The first Bodhnath tower was built in 600 AD, by King Tung Tou Can Bo, after being converted to Buddhism. According to legend, this is the work of the repentance of the king after accidentally killing his father. However, the work of Tung Tung Can Bo was destroyed during the Mughal invasion of the 14th century. The current tower was recently rebuilt. Bodhnath is the largest stupa in the world, over 100m in diameter, the length from one wall to the other near a soccer field. Its external architecture is also symbolic of Buddhism.

The Khajuraho Temple (Khajuraho, India)

The foot of the statue describes in detail the 108 good qualities of Sakyamuni Buddha. In addition, it has more than a thousand Buddha images, more than any other temple in the world. In 1962, a school was established that specialized in traditional medicine and massage in the temple grounds. Therefore, the temple is considered the birthplace of Thai massage. Prambanan temple (Yogjakarta, Indonesia)



This is the largest Hindu shrine in Java. The main material that makes up this pyramid is the igneous rock. Prambanan was built in the ninth century, by Rakai Pikatan, when Hinduism ruled Java, after the Borobudur for about 50 years. However, few know how it is built. Originally, it had 244 towers. Candi Shiva Mahadeva, Shiva temple, is not the largest temple, but remains the most intact until this time. Punakha Dzong monastery (Punakha, Bhutan)




It was built by Lama Ngawang Namgyal, who had merit in Bhutan, in about 1637-1638. It is the second oldest and largest monastery in Bhutan. It is one of the most magnificent buildings of this peaceful country. Punakhan Monastery was the administrative center of the dynasties in Bhutan until the capital was moved to Thimpu in 1955. The monastery is located between the confluence of the Cha and Ma River in the Wangdur Valley. By the purple season, the scene here is very fascinating.
