According to legend, dragons have created islands and rocky mountains to protect the country against foreign invaders.

Sahara Desert, Mauritania: Located in the Sahara Desert, this place is also known as the "Richat Structure". It is a dome shaped stone structure, about 50 km in diameter, viewed from above as a hemispherical. Initially, desert eye formation was thought to be due to the impact of meteorites. But recent theories suggest that it is actually a product of geological erosion over time.

Giant Green Hole, Belize: Giant Green Hole is characterized by submersible, 320 m wide and 125 m deep. It is part of the Belize Barrier and Mesoamerican reefs. It is thought to have formed during the Ice Age when a limestone karst system collapsed due to changes in sea level. Stalactites are found in pits of great value in understanding the climate of the past.

Moeraki Pebbles, New Zealand: Situated on Koekohe beach in New Zealand, the Moeraki spherical boulders look like giant tortoiseshells. They were formed by the sedimentation of the sea floor more than 60 million years ago. According to Maori Aboriginal folklore, this cobblestone is a remnant of eel baskets, baskets drifting ashore from sinking ships.

Zhangye Geological Park Danxia, China: The remote lookout rings look like a picture. Rock Formation, Australia: This hollow rock is 14 m high and 110 m long, located in Hyden National Park, Western Australia. Meanwhile, the waves are thought to be formed by the flow of water through the granite. The streaks of color on the surface of the rock are derived from the minerals deposited after rainwater flows through.

Rock Forest, China: The pile of sharp limestone rocks higher than 10 m, grow close together to create a magnificent landscape as a rock forest. It was formed 270 million years ago when it was a shallow sea. Sandstone and limestone accumulate perennially in a depression and are pushed up into the air. Then, through the action of water, the wind created these spectacular blocks. Today, this rock is recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage.

Chocolate Hills, Philippines: There are about 1500 limestone hills in Bohol Province, Philippines. They are often covered in green by grass, but in the dry season these hills quickly turn dark brown. It was recognized by the Philippines government as the National Geological Observatory in 1988.
