Hoa Lo is on the top five most scary travel places in Southeast Asia


CNN argues that Hoa Lo Prison in Vietnam is one of the five most thrilling places in Southeast Asia for the consequences of human and natural causes in the past.

1. Hoa Lo Prison

French colonialists built Hoa Lo prison in 1896 in Hanoi to detain and torture revolutionary activists in Vietnam. In the custody of prisoners still imitation of the soldiers of the French colonial soldiers clamped. It became the place where American pilots fled from airplanes when they crashed into Hanoi. The American prisoner was taken prisoner to call Hoa Lo "Hilton Hanoi". US Senator John McCain has been detained in Hoa Lo.The relic of Hoa Lo Prison is located at 1 Hoa Lo Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, Vietnam. One part of the detention was built to build a tower named Hanoi Tower. Hoa Lo is a relic, not a detention function.



2. Bangkok Medical Museum, Thailand

The Songkran Niyomsane Forensic Museum holds large numbers of bones and human bodies to serve the academic and research activities of medical students or forensic specialists. People leave the bodies or body parts of victims of murders, dead babies or unconscious bodies from road traffic accidents.

The Songkran Niyomsane Museum now houses a variety of killer weapons or criminal evidence for the purpose of educating people. This is also the resting place of Si Quey, the most famous serial killer in Thailand in the 1950s of the last century. According to the indictment, Si Quey murdered and ate more meat than 30 children. The words above the cabinet remind people to behave lawfully if they do not want to suffer as Si Quey.


3. The killing field in Cambodia

Genocide killed and buried millions of Cambodians in the Khmer Rouge regime (1975 - 1979) in the "dead field" of Choeung Ek, about 15 km from Phnom Penh. After studying more than 20,000 collective tombs, experts found 1,386,734 people killed in Choeung Ek. Including the number of deaths due to poverty and disease under the Khmer Rouge, Cambodia lost 1.7 to 2.5 million people while the population of the country in 1975 was 8 million.

Residents said that the area reserved for visitors only occupied part of Choeung Ek. After each rain, human bones under the thin layer of soil back up. The memorial, consisting of about 8,000 skulls, lies between the dead fields. Many cracked by the hard hit. Polpot using sticks, axes, knives ... slaughtered people to save ammunition.


4. Penang War Museum, Malaysia

After the Japanese lost their battle, Malay soldiers controlled the fort. However, the locals stay away from it for fear of the death of the soldiers. After many years, the local government turned the fort into the Penang War Museum.

5. Tornadoes in Thailand

In 2004, a major tsunami hit Thailand that left thousands dead and missing. Ban Nam Khem is the most severely damaged area in Thailand with 1,400 visitors and locals killed in the disaster. The tsunami pushed two fishing boats deep into several kilometers inland.
