The ancient pagoda is nestled quietly on Thanh Nien Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi, according to the Northern School. The whole temple is a complex consisting of many layers of houses with three main houses: pre-street, incent house and upper palace, connected to Cong word. On the door of the pagoda, there is still writing with three words of the Convenient Method, and both sentences are written in beautiful Nom script.

Tran Quoc was not the first name of this ancient temple, but originally it was called Khai Quoc. Through many times of renaming, from the time of King Le Hy Tong, people still used to call the pagoda Tran Quoc and kept it to this day. The temple was once the Buddhist center of Thang Long citadel during the Ly - Tran dynasty, the king and the mandarins often chose Tran Quoc as a place of worship and worshiping to worship on special occasions of the year such as holidays and Tet festival. Inside the pagoda, there are many great Buddha and Bodhisattva statues with great artistic value, in which the biggest highlight is the statue of Shakyamuni Buddha entering wooden nirvana and being painted with yellow card. In addition, other artifacts of historical, cultural and religious significance have been preserved as 14 steles in Han Nom.
